I was represented by Mrs. Okafor Princess at the African Weaving Festival (AWeF) held at FCT Exhibition Pavillion, adjacent International Conference Center, Abuja, where I was conferred with the title of Matron of African Weaving Festival.
AWeF recognized my efforts in promoting African textiles, particularly Aso-Oke and Adire fabrics as Wife of the Osun State Governor.
The event, themed "Culture, Commerce and Community," brought together master weavers, policymakers, fashion enthusiasts and culture aficionados to celebrate and promote African weaving traditions.
I am grateful for this recognition and look forward to continuing our collective efforts in empowering individuals, celebrating our unique heritage and promoting African textiles.
